Mandatory Sunday Rest, Anyone? What about God’s Sabbath?

Today (Nov. 29, 2017), I was riding along in my car, and as an out-of-the-usual-order kind of thing, I happened to be listening to the radio – a Christian radio station (which if I’m going to listen, it generally would be such). Early that morning, I had forgotten my phone, which had my new audiobook listen on it (exploring history and church perspectives), so I had flipped on a Christian radio station. I decided to listen a bit, while driving this afternoon. While listening to this station from the Tri-Cities, WA area, Janet Mefferd, the Christian broadcaster and radio talk show host, came on with a one-minute sound bite. The substance of it immediately caught my attention!

7 Reasons to Attend and Support Evangelistic Meetings

Currently, we are preaching through a Sanctuary Prophecy Seminar with the local church. In America, I’m often reminded about how busy, fragmented, and even disinterested churches, or various members can be – even at such crucial times as when offering an evangelistic series to reach the community with Christ’s all important message for the last days! I’m very thankful for those who do make a special effort to come out to attend, help, and support the meetings. It brings glory to God when we work together for His cause! Continue reading

Church and Sabbath Visitors from Rwanda

So today was a blessed day, as always on a Sabbath day! The sermon was about being real and deep with God, unloading our burdens and our hearts to Him! To be deep we need to open our hearts and not merely have some kind of surface level connection or actions that don’t really mean anything valuable. We must have a heart that is truly and intimately connected with God! It was a great message! Also, we had two visitors come to us today from Rwanda! James and Gervais. Actually, they’ve been here in Korea for several weeks attending a training program at Yonsei University. Next week will be their last in Korea. Anyway, today they came to visit our church, and we had a blessed time sharing together at our church fellowship meal! May the Lord bless them on their journeys! (you can see all the photos from today below, and the captions). Blessings in Christ!
